I started playing drums in 1971. It's so much fun. I play with 80% emotion, 20% technique and 10% humour.

My first tutor was the late Nick Nicholls, Lonnie Donegan's drummer. My last tutor was Chandi Hubert. HOME | drumstruck Great tutor, really recommend this guy. Although I probably drove him to despair as everything I played I swung.

 

I did try India Tabla for awhile under the guidance of the drum guru Chris Puleston, but the pandemic struck and things changed. Chris is a generous soul and I guarantee after a few minutes with him you will feel the calmest you have felt for a long time. He is one of life's special people.  Chris Puleston | Drummer

I have played in most genres throughout the years. Pop, rock, jazz, big band, folk, Irish, folk-rock. I have no respect for the boundaries of genre and will often bring jazz into folk for example. Works for me.
